President of HE

The President (Higher Education) is the lead representative for Higher Education (HE) students. They work to ensure HE students’ voices are heard and that their academic experience, wellbeing, and interests are represented within the Students’ Union, to the college, and to external partners where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Represent HE students to the Students’ Union, college, and relevant external bodies

• Lead on issues affecting HE students, including teaching and learning, assessment, academic support, and wellbeing

• Work closely with other course representatives, sabbatical officer, and SU staff

• Attend and contribute to relevant meetings and committees

• Gather feedback from HE students and communicate outcomes and updates clearly

• Promote equality, inclusion, and a positive academic experience for all HE students

• Encourage HE student engagement with the Students’ Union and student representation

Eligibility

• Must be a current Higher Education student, Levels 4-6+
