UPCOMING EVENTS 

Black History Month

October marks the start of Black History Month in the UK. Celebrate the achievements of Black individuals and deepen your understanding of racial equity and justice.  

Monday 2nd October

Join us in Bispham Student Life at 10am to watch a 45-minute live stream on the Windrush 75th Anniversary talk with Levi Roots - Musician, Television Personality, Celebrity Chef, Author & Businessman. 

Thursday 5th October

Limited students from Travel and Tourism, Uniformed Protective Services and Film, will be heading to the Maritime Museum in Liverpool with Sabbatical Officer, Carrie Lee, to hear the untold stories of enslaved people and learn about historical and contemporary slavery 

Monday 9th October

We are back in Student Life, live-streaming Denise Nurse, Entrepreneur, Solicitor & Presenter, from 10:00-10:45am. Come along and join us to find out why she advocates for diversity and inclusion, her life experiences and exciting career!

Hello Yellow for World Mental Health Day

10th October is World Mental Health Day. Across the week we are visiting all campuses to provide you information and resources to keep your mind healthy. Will you wear something yellow to show young people that you’re with them? If you don’t have anything yellow, don’t worry – come see us and collect your free yellow ribbon. #HelloYellow #AreYouIn?

ENRICHMENT 

Enrichment is about helping you develop the skills and qualities you’re going to need for the future and your dream career. We have a range of enrichment activities that you can get involved in, from online to in person, and something to suit everyone. Keep a look out on the Enrichment Hub to find out what is going on and how to get involved.
