Holocaust Memorial Day 2024

This week, our Blackpool and The Fylde College Students' Union will be hosting stalls across our campuses where students and apprentices are able to access further information on Holocaust Memorial Day and claim a free LED tealight, sticker and information booklet.

This event coincides with our students learning around British Values, highlighting why Respect and Individual Liberty are so important to uphold.

At 8pm on 27 January people across the nation will light candles and put them safely in their windows to:

Remember those who were murdered for who they were
Stand against prejudice and hatred today

You can become part of the conversation about Light the darkness online by sharing a photo of your candle and tagging Holocaust Memorial Day on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
