A public consultation is now open on a proposal for Blackpool and The Fylde College and Furness College to merge.
The idea is to create a new college group that brings both colleges together, while keeping their current names, campuses and identities.
📅 Consultation dates: Thursday 26 March – Thursday 30 April 2026
What does this mean for you?
🤔 If the merger goes ahead, you would not be affected. You would continue to study at your current college and campus.
