Student Reps are vital within the B&FC community. Every year reps are elected to share the student opinion on a wide range of topics, helping to steer the future of B&FC towards a better college experience for all.
WHAT IS A STUDENT REP?
A student rep is a person who you will elect to represent your class and your opinions, or you yourself may be voted to be this person. They/you will address your class for feedback on a wide range of topics, as well as deliver any information the Students’ Union wishes to share.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT REP MEAN FOR ME?
Being a student rep provides you with an opportunity to make a difference within your college. You will be asked to gather student opinion on a variety of topics and then relay this to other student reps and the Students’ Union via meetings. Currently, all meetings will be held virtually through Microsoft Teams. This is a great opportunity to really make a difference in your college, if you can think of ways the college can enhance the student experience then this would be a great role for you!
HOW DO STUDENT REPS BENEFIT ME AS ANOTHER STUDENT?
By interacting with your student rep on a regular basis, you will be able to ensure that your feedback is being taken directly to the college via the Students’ Union. The Students’ Union values the opinion of every student, and will do everything to ensure your voice is heard across a range of staff meetings, this is the reason student representatives are also invited to attend these.
